Today I packed my car for A Mountain Quiltfest in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. The day was a perfect day of warm sunshine and blue skies. A real beauty! Spring is making its appearance with crocus and snowdrops. I am always glad when the winter cold is over. I took a walk and enjoyed the warm sun on my face. I look forward to seeing you in Pigeon Forge. Always a great show and I love looking at all the stores of cowboy boots in my off hours when I am not at the show.
I plan to visit my sister Linda and her husband Ray on their farm in Kentucky after the show. I arrive on St Patrick's Day and Ray has promised a traditional Irish dinner of corned beef and cabbage. Happy St Patrick's Day and Happy National Quilting Day to all my Quilting friends!!!

- I have created this blog to share with the collectors of my art what goes in to creating my paintings. As you know almost every watercolor painting includes a quilt. I like to say that I "quilt with my paintbrush." Here I will share photos of quilts I see at all the quilt shows I exhibit at around the country. It was great meeting you today. You are officially one of my favorite artists! I am the most happiest with my spring fabric collection from you at the Smoky Mountain Quilt Show. Hope you got to get some exercise, but I'm not sure you did-I saw snowflakes on the way home to Maryville. Take care, and keep on painting!
