Spring is around the corner!

A few more days until Spring officially begins!  Winter is still hanging on here in Pennsylvania.  The temperature is cold and a few snowflakes fall outside my studio window.  I just finished a painting for St. Patrick's Day and am sketching my Easter painting.  I am having fun with my quilt border paintings!
I setup my first show of 2018 on Tuesday, March 20.  The show is one of my favorite places in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.  I hope you get to stop by at the show if you are in the area.  I will be there the entire time to sign my art!
Hope to see you at The Lancaster Quilt Show at The Continental Inn from March 21-24, 2018.  You can check out all the details on their website

Sending Love!
I am still waiting to see daffodils on my daily walk
I see a few crocus peeking out!

Spring is almost here!

I can not believe it is almost the end of February and Spring will be here in one month!  I have spent lots of February painting in my studio.  I am working on each month as the season it honors.  I just finished hearts for Valentine's Day and am painting shamrocks guessed it St. Patrick's Day.  My goal is to do one painting a month.  I am excited about this series.  Last year I did a series of each season and a Adirondack chair and quilt (pictured here)  the series will compliment each other.
I wanted to keep very busy creating since I am having a very rough time grieving for my Mom.  My Mom would have celebrated her 89th Birthday on February 4.  I have my Birthday on February 9.  It was a very sad time for me as Mom and I celebrated our Birthdays together.
I have my very first show of the Season on March 21 to March 24, 2018.  I will be at the Lancaster Quilt Show at the Continental Inn in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.  Please check out my website at for more information.
Enjoy the rest of Winter and the beginning of Spring.  Here in Pennsylvania snow is expected tonight  with  temperatures to rebound to warm weather on Wednesday for 74 degree temperatures!!  Sounds pretty impossible...we shall see!

Welcome 2018!

A New Year is upon us, Welcome 2018!  I was glad to see the end of 2017.  It was a very difficult year for me with the passing of my wonderful Mom.  I miss her every minute of the day.  My life is very empty without her to visit and see and talk with every day.
I went in my studio New Year's Eve.  It is my tradition to paint through to the beginning of the New Year.  I have started with two new paintings.  I am filling my days with the return to painting once again.  The Winter snow and cold is comforting to me as I stay in my studio and begin creating.
I went to see a Covered Bridge close to me that decorates for the Christmas Season.  Walking and taking photos was a challenge as it was 13 degrees and I had to go without gloves to take photos.  But oh so worth the beauty of seeing the lights, snow and frozen river.  I was there to see the sun set and watch a full moon rise...beautiful!  Happy New Year to all!  I hope you settle in through the next few months of Winter to create and quilt!!

Sharing some of my Covered Bridge photos from last year until I get my new ones printed.  This year there was snow on the ground, a full moon and even more lights!!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!  Wishing all my relatives, friends and collectors of my art a wonderful celebration of Christmas.  May you spend the day with loved ones and remembering too the ones that are not with us this year.  It has been a very sad holiday season for me with missing my kind and gentle Mom.  I think of all we did together during the holidays.  I have her little tree decorated in my living room with all her favorite decorations.
I wish for you holidays of creating wonderful memories of the time spent with your loved ones.  Memories will always be close in our heart.  Blessings and love to you this holiday season.
Yes, we did get snow!
  from my window!
Melted now, but more due on Christmas Eve!

Merry Christmas from my home to yours!

December is here!

December is here!  The month of festivities!  I wish for everyone enjoyment of the season.  Colder days are upon us.  The stores are decked out in Christmas and homes around my neighborhood have decorated too.  I am slowly getting back to my studio to create my annual Christmas painting.
With the passing of my Mom in August I have been unable to paint.  I miss her so much and days are difficult without her.  I have her tiny tree I decorated for her every year in my home.
Wishing for that one magical snow of Christmas!

November is here!

Colder temperatures have arrived with some snow flakes here and there.  I just finished two shows and had a great time at each one. I enjoyed both the art show and the Lebanon Quilter's Guild Show.  I am always amazed to see everyone's creativity.  All the different forms of art and all the beautiful Quilts which are truly an art form in themselves.

It is always hard work setting up and taking down each show but so well worth it to talk with my many collectors.  In this month of Thanksgiving I am truly grateful for you.  I Thank-you for collecting my art and your always wonderful compliments.  It fills me with joy and my desire to create.

Now that the winter months approach  I hope to get back to my studio.  I have not painted since August.  The passing of my Mom has been a very difficult time for me.  Every day I miss her so much.  I was so blessed to have her in my life and have her as my Mom.

I wish for you a joyful and blessed Thanksgiving with family and friends!

Welocome October!

It is hard to believe that October is here!  The days are getting cooler...except for a wonderful warm last week in September.  I prefer the warmer weather but love the colors of Autumn that will soon appear everywhere..  I have been taking many walks in a Park by my home and seeing the beauty of nature.  I am unable to paint at this time due to grieving my sweet Mom who I miss so very much.  It feels like yesterday since she passed.  My thoughts are constantly about her.  My memories overwhelming. Enjoy Autumn walks, cooler weather and harvest time of pumpkins and apples!
