Welcome June!

The month of June brings roses and the first summer flowers!  June in Pennsylvania is cooler then usual this year.  The weather is not as warm and sunny as in other year's past.  There is more rain then normal reminding me of the years I lived in Oregon.  Hoping for better weather soon.
I am getting ready for my summer shows.  The Kutztown Folk festival starts soon and I have so much to do to be ready!
Enjoy the month of June!

Welcome May!

The beautiful month of May.  All the flowers are in full bloom.  Trees come alive again with blossoms and leaves.  The wildflowers and bulbs awaken in the fields and garden.  Beautiful daffodils, tulips, iris and countless others fill the senses with fragrance and color!
Baby foxes are seen in the woods surrounding my studio. Warmer days and sunshine are here to stay!
Enjoy the beautiful month of May!

April showers bring May Flowers!

Lots of April Showers since the month started.  I see daffodils and crocus, hyacinth and a few budding trees.  The cold holds on between warm days.  I had a great show in Lancaster, Pennsylvania last week.  I enjoyed seeing everyone and having my first show of 2017!
I am looking forward to Easter!  Right now I am finally in my studio and hope to get some painting done.
Happy Spring! Happy Easter!

Happy Spring!

Spring is just around the corner!  The March snow is melting and daffodils and crocus are peeking through what is left of the snow.  We thought Winter had passed us by here in Pennsylvania until a surprise snow storm one week before the official start of Spring!  So shoveling muscles got a workout and Winter snow photographs were taken!
I set up my show in Lancaster, Pennsylvania tomorrow, March 28, 2017.  I hope you can come by and see me I will be sharing photos on my facebook page.  I hope to get out and see the beautiful Amish Countryside if I can!!
Easter is around the corner too!  I love seeing green grass, spring flowers and looking forward to my budding blossoms of dogwood trees!
Enjoy the Spring Season!

Welcome March!

"Spring Awakening"

March is here!  I am seeing the first crocus and snowdrops along with daffodils on my daily walk.  Each day is a weather surprise from one day of record highs to the mid 70's and still having cold days barely above freezing and wind chills that make me grab my hat and gloves!
I am ready for the warm weather and hope it is here to stay very soon.  I am finishing my winter studio paintings and getting ready for my show season.
My first show is coming soon.  I will be at the Lancaster Quilt Show March 29 - April 1, 2017.  I am at the Continental Inn location. Located at 2285 Lincoln Highway, Lancaster, Pennsylvania. www.lancasterquiltweek.com.
Enjoy the month of March!  I am looking forward to St. Patrick's Day and the first day of Spring!

Spring is peeking around the corner!

It is hard to believe the weather change from one week ago.  All of a sudden the sun feels warm at 60 plus degrees and the snow has melted with just a few patches here and there.  I took a morning walk at my favorite nearby park by my house.  I saw the first daffodil bulbs starting to surface!  There are now mornings filled with the songs of birds!  You never realize how quiet the winter is!
There will probably be some more cold days in the forecast but for now I am enjoying the touch of spring!!

February!

I love the month of February!  I turn another year older and enjoy celebrating my special day with my Mom.  This year there was snow on my Birthday and I enjoyed a winter walk through the woods.  Snow is so beautiful when it is still on the trees and covers everything with a pristine white.
I love celebrating Valentine's Day too and seeing hearts everywhere!
Happy February and Valentine's Day!
