Welcome 2018!

A New Year is upon us, Welcome 2018!  I was glad to see the end of 2017.  It was a very difficult year for me with the passing of my wonderful Mom.  I miss her every minute of the day.  My life is very empty without her to visit and see and talk with every day.
I went in my studio New Year's Eve.  It is my tradition to paint through to the beginning of the New Year.  I have started with two new paintings.  I am filling my days with the return to painting once again.  The Winter snow and cold is comforting to me as I stay in my studio and begin creating.
I went to see a Covered Bridge close to me that decorates for the Christmas Season.  Walking and taking photos was a challenge as it was 13 degrees and I had to go without gloves to take photos.  But oh so worth the beauty of seeing the lights, snow and frozen river.  I was there to see the sun set and watch a full moon rise...beautiful!  Happy New Year to all!  I hope you settle in through the next few months of Winter to create and quilt!!

Sharing some of my Covered Bridge photos from last year until I get my new ones printed.  This year there was snow on the ground, a full moon and even more lights!!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!  Wishing all my relatives, friends and collectors of my art a wonderful celebration of Christmas.  May you spend the day with loved ones and remembering too the ones that are not with us this year.  It has been a very sad holiday season for me with missing my kind and gentle Mom.  I think of all we did together during the holidays.  I have her little tree decorated in my living room with all her favorite decorations.
I wish for you holidays of creating wonderful memories of the time spent with your loved ones.  Memories will always be close in our heart.  Blessings and love to you this holiday season.
Yes, we did get snow!

Melted now, but more due on Christmas Eve!

Merry Christmas from my home to yours!

December is here!

December is here!  The month of festivities!  I wish for everyone enjoyment of the season.  Colder days are upon us.  The stores are decked out in Christmas and homes around my neighborhood have decorated too.  I am slowly getting back to my studio to create my annual Christmas painting.
With the passing of my Mom in August I have been unable to paint.  I miss her so much and days are difficult without her.  I have her tiny tree I decorated for her every year in my home.
Wishing for that one magical snow of Christmas!

November is here!

Colder temperatures have arrived with some snow flakes here and there.  I just finished two shows and had a great time at each one. I enjoyed both the art show and the Lebanon Quilter's Guild Show.  I am always amazed to see everyone's creativity.  All the different forms of art and all the beautiful Quilts which are truly an art form in themselves.

It is always hard work setting up and taking down each show but so well worth it to talk with my many collectors.  In this month of Thanksgiving I am truly grateful for you.  I Thank-you for collecting my art and your always wonderful compliments.  It fills me with joy and my desire to create.

Now that the winter months approach  I hope to get back to my studio.  I have not painted since August.  The passing of my Mom has been a very difficult time for me.  Every day I miss her so much.  I was so blessed to have her in my life and have her as my Mom.

I wish for you a joyful and blessed Thanksgiving with family and friends!

Welocome October!

It is hard to believe that October is here!  The days are getting cooler...except for a wonderful warm last week in September.  I prefer the warmer weather but love the colors of Autumn that will soon appear everywhere..  I have been taking many walks in a Park by my home and seeing the beauty of nature.  I am unable to paint at this time due to grieving my sweet Mom who I miss so very much.  It feels like yesterday since she passed.  My thoughts are constantly about her.  My memories overwhelming. Enjoy Autumn walks, cooler weather and harvest time of pumpkins and apples!

August 2017

My wonderful Mom passed away on August 5, 2017.  I was so very blessed with the kindest, most loving Mom ever.  She has been my inspiration, my best friend and the joy of my life.  I can not imagine my life without her.  She always encouraged me in my art and stood with me all my life.  She has been with me through everything from my first steps, school, marriage, sadly divorce and always the person I went to talk to about everything.
She told me the day she brought me home from the hospital that I looked at her and smiled.  I will always smile when I remember my most wonderful Mom.
She will be missed by all whose life she touched especially her four daughters myself, Linda, Mary and Anne.
God has another angel and I know my Dad is happy to have his wife back at his side.

The Summer is going too fast!

I can not believe it is almost August already!  The summer has gone by so fast already!  I spent most of July at shows.  I had a wonderful 9 days exhibiting and painting at the Kutztown Folk Festival!  What a great show seeing everyone, my collectors and fellow artisans. We had mostly nice weather and there was so much to see and do.  I enjoyed my morning walk seeing the farm animals, beautiful quilts, enjoying all the wonderful arts and crafts and even some of the great Pennsylvania German food!
I enjoyed my show last weekend in Hershey, Pennsylvania.  Another favorite show, the Quilt Odyssey.  Beautiful quilts and lots to shop for in fabric, sewing and quilting supplies.  Enjoy the rest of Summer.  I am looking forward to studio time, sketching outdoors and my daily walks at the park near my home!
