Welcome July

I just finished exhibiting at the Kutztown Folk Festival.  The week went fast and I enjoyed so much seeing familiar and new faces and talking with everyone.  It was fun to be able to paint during my 9 days at the Festival.  Yes, it was a hot week with temperatures in the 90's and humidity to match!

Despite the heat I always enjoy this show.  I will finish the painting I was working on in my studio this week.  I get ready for my next show in Hershey beginning on July 19.  Another favorite show.  I hope you can come by.  Check my website at for more information.

Enjoy Summer!

Welcome June!

June is here!  The weather remains unsettled with very few warm days and the sun is hiding behind the clouds more then I would like!
I am getting ready for the Kutztown Folk Festival.  A nine day stretch of show.  I look forward to this show every year.  I bring my watercolor paints and demonstrate all throughout the show.  The hours are long so I am happy I can paint in between sales.
I am spending lots of hours in my studio.  I am so blessed to have my art.  Every day I grieve the loss of my wonderful Mom.  I miss hearing her voice and telling her about my day.  I always shared my paintings with her.  My Mom and Dad were my biggest fans and supporters.
I am working on some new ideas with the quilt images.  So far I have completed a series of six.  Still too soon to show, but there will be a sneak preview at the Kutztown Folk Festival.  Please visit my website for information on the show at
I look forward to seeing you!

Memorial Weekend

This weekend we remember in memory those who died while serving in the country's armed services.  For many it is the official start of Summer too.

I will honor my Dad tomorrow.  He served in World War II and was very proud of his service as I am of him too.

I will also spend the weekend painting and getting ready for my Summer shows.

Warmer weather has finally returned as well as sunshine and beautiful blue skies.

Happy May!

Here it is the first day of May.  Spring is slowly arriving this year.  All the Magnolia trees are in bloom and tulips are first appearing.

I am busy creating in my studio and taking morning walks to enjoy the warmer weather and get inspiration!  It is wonderful to hear the birds in the morning and see all the flowers and trees in bloom.  My dogwood trees are just beginning to bud!

I will be at the Colonial Quilters Guild 2018 show on May 5 and 6, 2018 located at the Charles Chrin Community Center, Palmer Township, PA.  Please check on my website for information and directions at

Happy Easter!

Easter is early this year!  I have just started on a new painting celebrating Easter.  I should have it finished by the end of April!  Today is a beautiful day.  Skies are blue and sunshine is everywhere.  It is hard to believe that once again snow is in the forecast for Monday.  The daffodils in my yard are just appearing.
I will miss celebrating Easter with my Mom this year.  I loved going to her home and having Easter dinner with her and my family.  I miss sharing all our Easter traditions and sweets.
I have been in my studio constantly to paint and think of Mom.
Wishing you and your family a wonderful and blessed Easter!

Spring is around the corner!

A few more days until Spring officially begins!  Winter is still hanging on here in Pennsylvania.  The temperature is cold and a few snowflakes fall outside my studio window.  I just finished a painting for St. Patrick's Day and am sketching my Easter painting.  I am having fun with my quilt border paintings!
I setup my first show of 2018 on Tuesday, March 20.  The show is one of my favorite places in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.  I hope you get to stop by at the show if you are in the area.  I will be there the entire time to sign my art!
Hope to see you at The Lancaster Quilt Show at The Continental Inn from March 21-24, 2018.  You can check out all the details on their website

Sending Love!
I am still waiting to see daffodils on my daily walk

Spring is almost here!

I can not believe it is almost the end of February and Spring will be here in one month!  I have spent lots of February painting in my studio.  I am working on each month as the season it honors.  I just finished hearts for Valentine's Day and am painting shamrocks guessed it St. Patrick's Day.  My goal is to do one painting a month.  I am excited about this series.  Last year I did a series of each season and a Adirondack chair and quilt (pictured here)  the series will compliment each other.
I wanted to keep very busy creating since I am having a very rough time grieving for my Mom.  My Mom would have celebrated her 89th Birthday on February 4.  I have my Birthday on February 9.  It was a very sad time for me as Mom and I celebrated our Birthdays together.
I have my very first show of the Season on March 21 to March 24, 2018.  I will be at the Lancaster Quilt Show at the Continental Inn in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.  Please check out my website at for more information.
Enjoy the rest of Winter and the beginning of Spring.  Here in Pennsylvania snow is expected tonight  with  temperatures to rebound to warm weather on Wednesday for 74 degree temperatures!!  Sounds pretty impossible...we shall see!
